Virginia Tech's March 1st Junior Day is a two-part affair that started at midnight with a group of talented California recruits including four-star Anthony Beavers Jr and four-star CB D.J. Harvey.
The midnight visit went so well that one of the big name recruits from California has locked in his first official visit.

Four-star ATH Anthony Beavers Jr will take an official visit to Virginia Tech for their game against Penn State. That game is expected to be a massive recruiting weekend for the Hokies with four-star QB and VT commit Dematrius Davis among those also expected in attendance.
Beavers told us earlier this week that he was "very excited" to receive a Hokies' offer in part because of the "rich tradition" adding that a Tech offer has a "big" impact on his recruitment.
Beavers also told us that he was taking this visit with his father so that would seem to indicate that his family is also on board with a return trip to Tech, another great sign that the Hokies are legitimate contenders in his recruitment.
We will have more on today's Junior Day and the latest on the recruiting trail here at The Tech Lunch Pail.
