Virginia Tech has made four-star DE Landyn Watson one of their top overall targets in the 2021 class with the Hokies hosting him on a Junior Day visit a few weeks ago. Watson came away impressed with Tech, who he previously named his leader just before the visit, with Watson now scheduling a summer official visit to Blacksburg.

Watson will be taking an official visit to Virginia Tech from June 19th-21st. This visit will be Watson's second trip to Blacksburg after his recent Junior Day visit.
This is the only official visit that Watson currently has scheduled though it remains to be seen if he takes more official visit. That decision will likely come after some of his upcoming unofficial visits across the country to other major programs.
Virginia Tech is hoping that Watson will continue the #TX2VT that was truly launched when 2021 four-star QB Dematrius Davis committed to Tech this past November. Since then, the Hokies have caught the attention of many in Texas, especially in and around Houston, with four-star DE Alec Bryant and three-star DE Robert Wooten signing with the Hokies this past December.
