Virginia Tech has been busy sending out offers this past week including several in the state of Alabama. One of those offers was extended by WRs coach Holmon Wiggins to one of Alabama's best 2021 recruits, four-star DT Tim Keenan.
Keenan had this to say about his reaction to receiving a Virginia Tech offer.
"I was grateful for them seeing my talent and hard work, and really astonished because I watched them when I was younger all the time," Keenan said.
Keenan also added that he was "surprised" by the offer when Holmon Wiggins extended it to him on a visit to his school.
On the offer's impact on his recruitment and VT's standing in it, Keenan told us that it is "another opportunity for my career and VT is a top school."
Currently, Keenan doesn't have a top school in his recruitment. However, he did say that Alabama, LSU, and Clemson are currently recruiting him the hardest though the Hokies may join that group soon now that they've offered. Keenan added that Clemson and Tennessee are the two schools that he feels may be the closest to offering him next.
Looking ahead, Keenan told us that he is looking at visiting Virginia Tech in the near future while also hoping to make a trip to Tennessee soon.
Tim Keenan is a name to keep an eye on as one of Virginia Tech's top defensive tackle targets in the 2021 class.
