Virginia Tech is still looking to add at least one cornerback to their 2020 class with three-star CB Antwon Fegans emerging as a top target.
Now, Fegans has a Virginia Tech official visit set for this fall.
Fegans told us that he will be taking an official visit to Virginia Tech on the weekend of September 27th when the Hokies will host Duke for a Friday night game on ESPN. This news comes as Fegans has been receiving "a lot of interest" from the Hokies and a few weeks after he previously visited Virginia Tech.
"It was a great visit. They have a great atmosphere and a very family oriented vibe there," Fegans said about his visit.
Fegans added that Virginia Tech's campus stood out because it was "really beautiful and different in a way."
Overall, Fegans told us that his visit had quite the significant impact on his recruitment.
"The visit really impacted my recruitment. Blacksburg is a special place and definitely caught my eye with that visit," Fegans said.
Looking ahead, Fegans told us that he's looking at taking visits to Pittsburgh, Kansas, and West Virginia. However, it's unclear if those would simply be unofficial visits or an official visit like his newly scheduled late September trip to Virginia Tech.
Antwon Fegans is a very intriguing prospect with great size for a cornerback at 6'3'' fitting the trend of taller cornerbacks in recent years. Additionally, Fegans has proven to be productive after having 37 tackles, 9 pass breakups, and 2 interceptions including one returned for a touchdown as a junior.
Antwon Fegans has locked in his official visit as the Hokies make him a top priority at cornerback in the 2020 class.
