Caleb Farley, Jermaine Waller's Status for Belk Bowl In Question After Appearing Not To Practice

Waller Floyd 1

The status of Virginia Tech's starting cornerbacks Caleb Farley and Jermaine Waller for the Belk Bowl are in question after a photo from Nadir Thompson showed the two cornerbacks in sweats, appearing not to have practiced today.

Farley's injury concerns have been known after having back spasms keep him out of the game against Virginia. Meanwhile, Waller was not previously known to have any questions about his status with this photo raising questions as to whether Waller may not be able to play in the Belk Bowl.

We should find out some more answers about both of their statuses tomorrow when Justin Fuente addresses the media at Belk Bowl Media Day.

If Farley and Waller are both unable to play in the Belk Bowl, Armani Chatman and Jovonn Quillen would likely be in line to start at cornerback for the Hokies. Additionally, guys like Brion Murray and the aforementioned Nadir Thompson could also be candidates to receive some playing time in this game.

We will have more updates as this story develops. Stay up with the latest from the Belk Bowl on Twitter @techlunchpaild.
