Three-Star RB CJ Beasley Decommits From Virginia Tech

Helmet 1

Virginia Tech fans received some disappointing recruiting news tonight as three-star RB CJ Beasley decommitted from the Hokies.

Beasley's decision comes days after the Hokies gained their fourth RB commit at the time from three-star JUCO RB Marco Lee. Beasley's decisions leaves the Hokies with 3 running backs committed in Lee, Jordan Brunson, and Jalen Hampton. This also leaves three-star DB Lakeem Rudolph as the lone in-state commit currently for Virginia Tech.

There is no doubt that this is a loss for the Hokies, but Virginia Tech another speedy back committed in Hampton to go with the power running that Brunson and Lee bring to the table. Given the tight numbers, it would be surprising if the Hokies tried to add a fourth running back to this class.

For Beasley, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, and Tennessee are his other Power 5 offers and are schools worth keeping an eye on along with nearby East Carolina, and in-state Old Dominion and Liberty.
