There is no doubt on that 2021 four-star RB Evan Pryor will be one of Virginia Tech's top priorities in his class. The North Carolina native visited Virginia Tech this past weekend and quite clearly enjoyed his time in Blacksburg.
"It was great. They hit all the questions I had," Pryor said about his visit to Virginia Tech. He added that those questions were mainly on the academic side of things.
During his visit, Pryor mentioned that his visit was quite busy including a campus tour, a uniform photo shoot, and a weight room presentation. Additionally, Pryor had the chance to spend some time with Virginia Tech RBs coach Zohn Burden with one thing in particular standing out about his time with Burden.
"Coach Burden breaking down the film and explaining where I can fit in in the system [stood out]," Pryor said.
Pryor has also had the opportunity to build a strong relationship with Zohn Burden that goes beyond football.
"It’s great. We both understand each other and he is more than just a running backs coach. He’s also concerned with school and everyday things," Pryor said.
Like his relationship with Zohn Burden, Pryor's time in Blacksburg had a focus on more than just football, which Pryor enjoyed.
"I liked how I got to learn more about VT in general and not just in football." Pryor said.
Overall, Pryor told us that the Hokies are "heavy on my radar" after his Virginia Tech visit while Penn State is also a major contender for the talented North Carolina RB. Additionally, Pryor has plans to visit the Nittany Lions and North Carolina in the near future.
Virginia Tech has made it clear that four-star RB Evan Pryor is a top priority in their 2021 class with Pryor also leaving with a strong impression of the Hokies.
