Virginia Tech Men's Basketball added some size to their frontcourt for the 2020-21 season landing a commitment from Iowa grad transfer Cordell Pemsl.

Pemsl averaged 5.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 16.3 minutes per game during his four years at Iowa while starting 14 games as a freshman during the 2016-17 season. The 6'9'' big man should add some more frontcourt depth for the Hokies behind P.J. Horne, Keve Aluma, and John Ojiako with the chance to compete for significant playing time as well.

Pemsl becomes the second grad transfer addition of the offseason along with Kansas State's Cartier Diarra. Tech has also added three-star PF David N'Guessan while Landers Nolley has left for the transfer portal and Isaiah Wilkins transferred to Wake Forest.
