Since being offered at a satellite camp early this past summer, 2021 TE Jordan Dingle has emerged as the Hokies' top tight end target with the Kentucky native also prioritizing the Hokies and planning to visit VT along with multiple other schools this fall.

Here's a look at Dingle's current fall 2019 visit schedule that includes visits to schools in three of the five power conferences.

  • Ohio State 9/21
  • South Carolina 10/19
  • Purdue 10/26
  • Kentucky 11/9
  • Virginia Tech 11/23

When Dingle does visit, it won't be his first visit to Blacksburg as he visited the Hokies this summer and told us that it went "great". So what is Dingle looking to see on his second trip to Blacksburg?

"I’m hoping to continue to see the family atmosphere I saw the first time I was there and hoping to see the exciting game day atmosphere they have," Dingle said.

Dingle also told us that Virginia Tech is among three schools recruiting him the hardest and standing out because of that along with Ohio State and Louisville.

The talented tight end recently received contact from lots of schools after the September 1st window opened with the Hokies, Purdue, and Louisville being among the first to contact him. In addition, Dingle also heard from Kentucky, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, and several other FBS programs.

So far, TEs coach James Shibest has unsurprisingly led the charge for the Hokies with Dingle telling us that he's built a "great" relationship with him as they continue to get "closer and closer."

Virginia Tech has put themselves in position to be one of the top contenders for Jordan Dingle as the Hokies hope Dingle will become the next highly talented recruit from Kentucky to come to Blacksburg following Bryan Hudson who has already earned himself some significant playing time on the offensive line.
