2021 Three-Star WR Pat Bryant Recaps His Recent Virginia Tech Visit

Pat Bryant VT UNC 2019

Virginia Tech had a talented group of recruits on campus for their dramatic win over North Carolina including 2021 three-star WR Pat Bryant. As Bryant shared with us and on Twitter, he definitely enjoyed his visit to Blacksburg.

Bryant told us that his visit to Virginia Tech was "amazing" with Bryant getting to see the tailgating around Lane Stadium before being in attendance for VT's thrilling win over North Carolina. If you want more insight on the itinerary for Bryant and the rest of the group of Jacksonville recruits who were in Blacksburg, check out this post over at The Key Play.

Unsurprisingly, the craziness of the Lane Stadium crowd stood out the most to Bryant from his visit. Additionally, Bryant also had the chance to spend some time with WRs coach Jafar Williams and DL coach Charley Wiles, his area recruiter.

His conversation with Jafar Williams gave Bryant a chance to catch up with Williams on his season and development.

"We mainly talked about how my season was going and how much I’ve gotten better since I last saw him," Bryant said.

His conversation with Charley Wiles focused more on the game along with things beyond football.

"It was good. I actually got talk to him after the game, and he was just asking how the family was and how the game was," Bryant said.

Bryant also had a chance to catch up with a former Jacksonville area standout in safety Chamarri Conner. Conner has been a part of a growing Jacksonville presence on Virginia Tech's roster with a pair of Jacksonville recruits currently committed to the Hokies in three-star WR Tyree Saunders (who also visited VT for the UNC game) and three-star DB Keonta Jenkins.

Bryant told us that he feels the Hokies' Jacksonville commits "are like brothers to me," highlight the close relationship Bryant has with Saunders and Jenkins.

The three-star WR did say that it only has a "minor impact" on his recruitment, but he did say it would give VT an "advantage" compared to other schools because he's always
wanted to stick together" with his "brothers."

Overall, what's clear is that Virginia Tech is emerging as a top contender for talented Jacksonville WR Pat Bryant as the Hokies look for Bryant to continue a Jacksonville tradition that includes arguably the best wide receiver in VT history, Isaiah Ford.
