Jordan Oladokun has been a rising cornerback in the 2021 class receiving 11 offers since the beginning of 2020 including multiple offers from ACC schools. The most recent ACC school to join Oladokun's offer list, Virginia Tech.

Oladokun had this to say about his initial reaction to receiving a Virginia Tech offer.

"It’s a big time offer, and I’ve heard nothing but positive things about Virginia Tech," Oladokun said.

Oladokun received the offer via cornerbacks coach Ryan Smith who Oladokun told us he has a "great coach to kid relationship that we're building slowly" with Ryan Smith. The fact that CBs coach Ryan Smith has been leading the charge is another indication that Oladokun is fairly high on Tech's cornerbacks board in a class that likely will see Tech take 2-3 cornerbacks minimum.

One of the appeals for Virginia Tech is the defensive back pedigree as the Hokies have gained a "DBU" reputation not only for what they've done developing high-end recruits like Kendall Fuller, but also overlooked guys like Kam Chancellor. Oladokun recognizes that reputation and told us that it does add to the appeal of Virginia Tech, especially after Kendall Fuller shined in this year's Super Bowl.

"It’s big because I know they put guys in the league so that’s big!" Oladokun said.

Oladokun is also a talented recruit in his own right as his growing offer list shows. He credits much of that to his ball skills while he sees his physicality at the line of scrimmage as an area that he has the most room to improve on.

"I have great ball skills. When the ball is in the air, it’s mine so I feel like that is a strength. Weakness is just being as physical as I want to be at the line of scrimmage," Oladokun said.

Looking ahead, Oladokun told us that Virginia Tech is among the schools that he is hoping to visit in the near future along with Penn State, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, and Virginia. He does not have any set dates for those visits at the moment though he did mention summer as a possibility for a trip to Blacksburg. When Oladokun does visit, it will be his first visit to Virginia Tech.

Overall, Jordan Oladokun sees this as a big time and though it's hard to gauge how significant of an impact this offer has on his recruitment, it's clear that the Hokies have caught his attention.

"Virginia Tech is definitely a big offer to me and they have my eye on Virginia Tech!"
