Three-Star QB Tyler Warren Decommitts from Virginia Tech

Helmet 1
Tyler Warren, a 2020 three-star quarterback out of Mechanicsville, Va, has decommitted from Virginia Tech. Hanover Sports tweeted Wednesday that Warren has "reopened his recruitment." Warren, a junior at Atlee High School, originally committed to the Hokies on August 17, 2018. He has received multiple Power 5 offers since that time, including one from Louisville just last week. Warren has a wide array of skills that he brings to the table. Not only is he a dual threat quarterback, he also plays basketball and baseball for Atlee when football is not in session. He is a very gifted athlete in multiple ways. While the Hokies will certainly still be recruiting Warren, it is possible that the crowded quarterback room could be a deterrent for him. Virginia Tech will have four quarterbacks from this season that will be eligible to return next year in Quincy Patterson, Hendon Hooker, Braxton Burmeister, and Knox Kadum. Warren has not made any statement at this time updating where Virginia Tech stands in his recruitment.

Tyler Warren's Offer List (According to Hanover Sports)

  • ACC: Virginia Tech, Louisville, Syracuse, Virginia
  • Big 10: Penn State
  • FCS: Richmond, Howard
