Three-Star DE Travali Price Plans to Visit Virginia Tech This Spring

Talented defensive end Travali Price has emerged as one of Virginia Tech's top defensive line targets since the hiring of new defensive line coaches Bill Teerlinck and Darryl Tapp. The good news for the Hokies is that their interest has been more than reciprocated by Price with the 6'4'' DE from North Carolina setting up a spring visit.

Price told us that he will be taking a visit to Virginia Tech on April 4th. He will definitely be a headline visitor that day along with 2021 offered Danny Stutsman who will also be in Blacksburg that day. This will be Price's first visit in 2020 though he did visit Tech for the Hokies' thrilling win over North Carolina.

Additionally, Price told us that he has plans to visit Ohio State, Louisville, Tennessee, West Virginia, Duke, and Wake Forest in the near future.

Price also told us that Virginia Tech is among "several" schools that are currently recruiting him the hardest. He also had this to say about where the Hokies currently stand in his recruitment.

"They are on the list for sure. Coach Fuente, Coach Teelinck and Coach Tapp are doing great at building a relationship with me and my family," Price said.

Price had this to say about his relationship with head coach Justin Fuente.

"It's good! We talk all the time. He talks with my parents also," Price said. "We talk about other things not just football, so that means a lot. He is interested in my life, my future, and me as a person."

One thing that's changed in Tech's pursuit has been the who in regards to a potential position coaches with Bill Teerlinck and Darryl Tapp being hired as Tech's defensive line coaches. So far, both of them have made a very strong impression as they've prioritized Price.

"The T's....they are great. A ton of experience and knowledge. They hit the ground running and I have much respect for those coaches," Price said.

Price expanded on the relationship he has with each defensive line coach starting with Darryl Tapp with plenty of mention of his NFL experience.

"Down to earth and easy to talk too. It is great. I like Coach Tapp. Plus, he has played in the league and that is the ultimate goal after an education. He can get you there," Price said.

Price also added that he has a good relationship with Bill Teerlinck as the two "talk often" and Teerlinck brings "great experience" to the table.

Price also credited his relationship with area recruiter/TEs coach James Shibest as a big reason for his great interest in the Hokies because Shibest has "always been there" for Price.

Looking ahead, Travali Price doesn't plan to put out any sort of list, but he is looking to make a fall decision that would allow him to enroll early at his college of choice.

"I'm not into making a "top" list on social media. I will take more trips and my family will make a decision sometime between September and November. I will be early enrolling wherever I go," Price said.

Price also has a good idea of what will be the key factors when he does make his decision and determined what school is the best "fit" for him.

"Looking for a great education, family atmosphere, great coaching, playing time, and a winning tradition," Price said.

Virginia Tech is in a great position early on with Travali Price and have a great opportunity coming in the near future to gain more momentum in his recruitment.
