2021 Three-Star DE Travali Price Recaps His "Fantastic" Virginia Tech Visit

Travali Price VT UNC 2019

Virginia Tech had a talented group of recruits on campus for their dramatic victory against North Carolina including 2021 three-star DE Travali Price, with his visit going quite well as Price told us.

"It was fantastic. The energy in the stadium was electric and the game was nothing like I have ever seen," Price said.

Unsurprisingly, Price said that the game and the crowd stood out the most with Lane Stadium rocking for six overtimes and then some after.

Price also had the opportunity to speak with a few of the Hokies' coaches including head coach Justin Fuente, DL coach Charley Wiles, and his area recruiter James Shibest.

His conversation with Charley Wiles went well as the Hokies' DL coach made it clear that Price could be an important part of the future for VT.

"It was great. We talked about how important he thought I was to the program's future," Price said.

Price also had a "great" conversation with James Shibest as he has built a strong relationship with the Hokies' assistant leading the charge in his recruitment for VT.

So how did this visit impact his recruitment and Virginia Tech's standing in it?

"I like Virginia Tech along with several other schools. I'm enjoying the process and getting a feel for what schools can offer me. I'm looking for playing time, a great education, someone to master my skills, and a home away from home," Price said.

At this point, Price doesn't have any schools standing out with plenty of schools heavily pursuing him. He also doesn't have one college coach that has a much better relationship with him than others, but he did have this comment praising VT's coaches for their time investment in him.

"I've enjoyed my time with several different coaches. I have met some really great football minds that care more than just about football...they care about character, family, and my well being. I will tell you this, every time I visit Virginia Tech.....they invest their time in me," Price said.

Looking ahead, Price told us that he plans to visit Louisville, LSU, Virginia, Wake Forest, and Duke in the near future.

Travali Price may not have any schools standing out, but it's clear that the Hokies are making Price a priority and emerging as a top contender for him.
