Virginia Tech's Blacksburg Bash brought plenty of talented recruits to campus including three-star WR and USF commit Tyree Saunders who told us that he had a good visit to VT.
Saunders had a busy day during his time in Blacksburg spending plenty of time with coaches and current Virginia Tech players.
"I met the coaches, spent time with the WRs coach, talked to coach (Justin) Fuente, put on the uniforms, ate lunch, toured the campus, and bowled with the players, coaches and other recruits," Saunders said.
As Saunders told us, his conversation with Justin Fuente went quite well.
"It was good. We talked about a few things and he explained sum things to me so it was a good conversation. He was being completely honest with me so I definitely respect that," Saunders said.
Saunders also got to meet WRs coach Jafar Williams for the first time and built up a good rapport with the man who could be his collegiate coach should he choose VT.
"It was good. It my first time meeting him, so I spent a lot of time with him and talked a lot about things so it was definitely good. I like him," Saunders said.
Saunders' time with the coaches, along with the massive interest the coaches showed, stood out the most for Saunders on his visit.
"The honesty and genuine love from the coaches. They truly want me and I got that from more than one coach. So that’s definitely stood out. They say I am a priority and they showed that," Saunders said about what stood out.
Tyree Saunders added that the Hokies are "definitely up there" after this visit as Virginia Tech continues to gain traction for Saunders.
So what was the message Saunders received from the Hokies' coaching staff after today's visit?
