N'Guessan told us that Virginia Tech is among 3 schools currently standing out in his recruitment along with VCU and Saint Joseph's. DePaul, Washington State, George Mason, and East Tennessee State are some of N'Guessan's biggest offers not currently in his top 3.
He had this to say about why the Hokies are currently standing out in his recruitment.
"It is a great program and they are recruiting me pretty hard," N'Guessan said.
This will be N'Guessan's second visit to Virginia Tech as he previously visited for Tech's victory over Maryland Eastern Shore. He told us that his previous visit was "pretty cool" and that the facilities and game environment were among the things that stood out to him.
Looking ahead, N'Guessan told us that he currently doesn't have any other visits scheduled though it wouldn't be surprising to see that change. He also told us that he doesn't have a set timeline to make a decision, but he is looking at "probably" doing so "next month." Additionally, N'Guessan said that outside of the aforementioned, he's "not really" considering any other schools for now.
Since offering him in mid-December, Virginia Tech has made David N'Guessan a top priority as the Hokies look to add some size to a class that already includes a pair of talented four-star guards in Darius Maddox and Joe Bamisile. There's no doubt that this is a big weekend as the Hokies look to add their top high school big man target in the 2020 class.
