Payoute will be out indefinitely due to a leg injury which won't likely make an eligibility difference given how this is considered a free year for fall sports.
While it was unknown if Payoute was going to earn the open WR job, he was considered arguably the top breakout player of fall camp receiving tons of praise from head coach Justin Fuente and others. Payoute's absence makes Villanova grad transfer Changa Hodge even more of a clear frontrunner to be the starting outside receiver opposite Tre Turner with Evan Fairs, Kaleb Smith, and Darryle Simmons among the challengers.
We will have more as this story develops.
