ACC and ESPN revealed the kickoff times and television networks for football games on the second weekend of October including Virginia Tech-North Carolina today.
#Hokies-#UNC is a 3:30 game on RSNs. Surprised only 1 game was taken by ABC/ESPN and that GT-Miami earned an ACC Network spot https://t.co/Mwnsb3Nnm5

The Hokies will have a mid-afternoon kickoff for the second consecutive home game with kickoff coming at 3:30pm for VT's Homecoming Game. The game will ve televised on the ACC's Regional Sports Networks which includes NBC Sports Washington for many Hokie fans.
With a full slate of ACC games and only one being picked up by ESPN/ABC, it's not surprising to see VT-UNC get pushed to the RSNs. Part of this may also be a favor to Virginia Tech given the high likelihood that the university wanted to avoid a noon kickoff for a Homecoming game. If not, then it is surprising to see a mostly irrelevant Georgia Tech-Miami game land one of the 3 ACC Network broadcast windows.
Before next Saturday's important Coastal game, Virginia Tech will host Rhode Island with a previously announced 4pm kickoff on the ACC Network. This will be the second time this season that the Hokies have a mid-afternoon kickoff on ACC Network.
