Virginia Tech Offers Former Arkansas TE Commit Brandon Frazier

Since decommitting from Arkansas in light of the Chad Morris dismissal, three-star TE Brandon Frazier has received several new Power 5 offers including one from Virginia Tech.

Frazier had this to say about his immediate reaction to receiving a Virginia Tech offer and what it means.

"I mean it shows they care about me and want me to play at their university, so that’s a good feeling to be wanted," Frazier said.

The Hokies aren't the only Power 5 program to have offered Frazier over the past few days as he has also received new offers from Florida State, USC, Pittsburgh, Oregon State, and Maryland. Additionally, Frazier is receiving interest from several schools who previously offered him including Baylor, Texas Tech, Utah, and more plus interest from Oregon and Penn State, both of whom have not offered him.

While Frazier may be a new name on the radar, the Hokies have been showing the three-star TE from Texas lots of interest recently.

"They have definitely been recruiting me pretty hard since I’ve opened [my recruitment] back up so that speaks for itself," Frazier said.

Frazier also added that the Hokies have been "constantly texting me and showing their interest" over the past few days since Frazier made his decision to decommit from Arkansas.

While many recruits are likely planning on committing and signing in time for the Early Signing Window, Brandon Frazier told us that he has "no idea" on a timeline for a decision and is "taking things slow" at this point give the mass amount of interest.

Whoever lands Frazier will be landing a very intriguing tight end prospect who has tremendous size at 6'7'' and almost 250 pounds. Additionally, Frazier has been a very productive receiving tight end with 33 catches for 728 yards and 7 touchdowns, showing lots of big play potential during this high school season.

At this point, the top goal for Virginia Tech will likely be to get Frazier on campus for an official visit with several schools likely to push Frazier hard to land one of his four remaining officials.

For now though, what's clear is that the Hokies are looking to add some Texas flare to their 2020 class after landing elite 2021 QB Dematrius Davis earlier this week with Virginia Tech heavily pursuing Brandon Frazier.
