Virginia Tech Reveals Their Uniforms For Game Against #3 Clemson

Virginia Tech is poised to play on the primetime stage for the first time this season as the Hokies host #3 Clemson who can lock up their spot in the ACC Championship with a win against Tech.

After a couple weeks of more low key uniform reveals, Tech brought back their uniform reveal hype video this week featuring a deserving breakout player.

The Hokies are going with their traditional home look for this primetime showcase game with maroon helmets, maroon jerseys, and white pants. There's something to be said about keeping it simple and going with something that is easy to recognize in a game where you're going to get a lot of exposure.

The choice of Amare Barno is well-deserved as Barno has been a breakout star for the Hokeis at defensive end after just moving there from linebacker in fall camp, part of which he missed due to injury. Barno currently leads the team in tackles for loss (12.5), sacks (5.5), and forced fumbles (2); and appears likely to earn some sort of All-ACC honors for his breakout season.

He's also the type of player who clearly has a huge ceiling with his tremendous athleticism and size at 6'5'' giving him more room to grow and get stronger during a normal offseason. While he may not be on the NFL radar yet, he could be a strong 2021 season away from being drafted during the first two days of the 2022 NFL Draft.
