Virginia Tech Set to Host Talented Group of Players This Weekend

JP107054

Virginia Tech is set for their biggest recruiting weekend of 2020 to date with an elite Junior Day and multiple talented official visitors in Blacksburg.

One of the headline visitors will be former Marshall WR and grad transfer Obi Obialo, who will be taking an official visit this weekend.

Obialo played in only the final 4 games this past season due to an injury that he wasn't expected to return from during the 2019 season. Over those 4 games, he had 18 catches for 244 yards which came after he had 42 catches for 505 yards and 4 touchdowns in 2018.

With Damon Hazelton leaving for Missouri along with multiple backups, Obialo would be a big addition and fit in well as a big outside receiver like Hazelton to pair with Tre Turner and Tayvion Robinson.

The unofficial visitors for Saturday are also already an impressive headlined by four-star DEs Naquan Brown and Landyn Watson. The duo have emerged as two of Tech's top defensive targets in the 2021 class with the Hokies entering this weekend in very good position for both.

Those aren't the only notable visitors as four-star TE Jordan Dingle will also be in town. Dingle appears to be Tech's top tight end target at the moment with the Hokies looking like a frontrunner in his recruitment.

Three-star LB Jordan Poole and athlete Jalen Stroman, brother of former VT star Greg Stroman will also be among the 2021 visitors. WR Price Williams Jr and OL Gunner Givens are among the notable 2022 recruits set to visit this weekend.

This list includes players that have either confirmed to us directly, been confirmed via a source, or publicly stated their intentions to visit Virginia Tech this weekend. This list will be updated throughout the week.
